What to Expect when Visiting

We are very pleased that you are considering visiting us at Reformation Bible Church!

Here’s what to expect at one of our typical morning worship services:

*Firstly, RBC Church Officers, and some members, always meet at 9:15 am, to pray for the saints, and the sanctification of the Lord’s Day Sabbath (you are welcome to joins us!)

*Secondly, following our early morning prayer, we have Sabbath School (aka Sunday School) from approx. 9:25 am until 9:50 am (again, you are welcome, and indeed, we invite you, to attend!)

  • Our first service typically lasts an hour to an hour and thirty minutes. (10:00 am to 11:30 am). Most members come a few minutes early to secure their preferred seating, and to prepare their hearts for worship as the hymns are being played.

  • One of the Deacons will welcome everyone to our gathering of worship and make any necessary announcements.

  • Following announcements, is the “call to worship” by one of our elders.  We are then exhorted by the public reading of Scriptures, corporate prayer, and the congregational singing of hymns.

  • After the reading of the Scriptures, prayers, and singing of hymns, the pastor/preacher enters the pulpit and brings to the congregation a message from God’s Word. We regard this time of preaching not only to be a continuation of worship (listening to Christ speak to us through His Word and by His Spirit), but also to be primary and indispensable to the worship service.

  • We believe the Lord’s Supper is a means of grace given to God’s people, therefore we partake of the Lord’s Supper every Sabbath. (See our Worship for more information.)

  • We believe Sunday, the first day of the week, is the Lord’s Day Sabbath, so we gather once again for afternoon worship around 12:25 P.M.

  • On the first Lord’s Day afternoon service each month we gather for corporate prayer, and on the last Lord’s Day afternoon service of each month we have a congregational fellowship meal.

  • As far as ‘what to wear’, you will find that the members of RBC dress anywhere from casual to formal, but with a concern to be modest and non-distracting to other worshipers.

We invite you to come and worship our Triune God with us. We trust that you will find our services God-centered and soul-enriching.
